Why I Stopped Drinking Coffee
I remember being a freshman in high school and trying my mom’s coffee lattes in the morning and it tasting like heaven. And from there I was pretty much hooked. After school I would go to cvs with my friends and get the prepaid Starbucks frappuccino drinks. And by junior year I was drinking lattes every morning before zoom classes.
But by the time I started college, I really couldn’t ignore the negative side effects of coffee anymore. I was a cold brew loving addict (thanks to making fresh batches at my job everyday), and getting like mini heart attacks from the caffeine.
Truly, from the start I always felt fast heart beating from the caffeine, but it began getting worse after a few years. The anxiety, the dizziness, jittery teeth, the crashes and burnout, and instant heart effects—I had to finally stop.
I started doing research into matcha and found out how much better it is for lasting energy and health benefits. And so although matcha is super trendy now, I personally switched for health and healing.

Give It a Chance
I won’t lie and say “from the first sip I had of matcha I loooooved it.” No, it tasted like grass. But of course your mind is going to reject new things, especially if you’re a picky eater like myself. But if you try new things and persist with it, your mind is going to start to adjust and like it.
Over time I invested in better matcha and flavor combos and found a genuine love for it, so I hope you do as well.
