EFT: Tapping into Your Desires

Have you ever tried saying affirmations, but deep down felt like you were lying to yourself? Like no matter how much you say “I am abundant,” something inside you tightens or rolls its eyes?

That’s where EFT comes in and completely shifts the game.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a somatic tapping practice that helps you rewire your subconscious beliefs by calming the nervous system and releasing emotional resistance. And when it comes to manifesting? That resistance is exactly what blocks us from receiving.

What EFT Does for Manifestation

When we’re trying to manifest something, our energy needs to match the frequency of the thing we desire. But if you carry old fears like:

  • “It’s not safe to have more.”
  • “I’m not worthy of success.”
  • “Good things don’t happen to people like me.”

…your subconscious mind will sabotage or delay the thing you want most.

By tapping on the EFT points while naming the negative feeling or belief, you’re literally sending a calming signal to your nervous system that says, “It’s safe to feel this and let it go.” Here’s why it works:

  1. Acknowledgment + Safety Signal
    • By stating the negative (“I’m not worthy of lasting love” etc.) you bring the subconscious belief into conscious awareness.
    • Tapping those acupressure points simultaneously tells your brain, “We can process this now—it’s safe.” That calms the fight-or-flight response and dissolves the emotional charge.
  2. Release + Reprogram
    • Once the charge is neutralized (no longer emotionally attached to those beliefs), you follow up (in the same tapping round or the next) with positive or “reframe” statements (“I am worthy and deserving of this”).

This combination of clearing (naming and tapping) and rebuilding (positive beliefs) rewires your subconscious to support the new, empowered thought. This is neuroplasticity.

Manifestation isn’t just about visualizing—it’s about becoming. EFT helps your body catch up with your vision. The more relaxed and regulated you are, the more magnetic you become.

Start with Emotional Intensity

One common way to begin EFT is to rate your emotional intensity around the issue you’re tapping on—on a scale from 0 to 10.

  • For example, if you’re tapping on fear of being seen, ask yourself: “How strong is this fear right now?” If it feels like a 7 out of 10, that’s where you begin.

You tap while saying your release phrase until that number drops significantly—usually to a 2 or below. Then, you shift into tapping on your new truth—what you want to believe and embody instead. This process helps your body feel safe letting go of the old, so the new beliefs have space to land.

Tap through the points (side of hand, top of head, inner brow, side eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, under arm, and wrist).

My Recommendation

I HIGHLY recommend looking up Brad Yates on YouTube, he has TONS of views on so many topics and is the best script writer. There are also so many comments on people’s personal experience and results from tapping.
